Quality Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Contract or fixed-term contract: £40 per hour or £45,000 12-month fixed.
A leading organisation in the Gloucester area is looking for a Quality Engineer to join at an exciting time of new project wins.
Our client is looking for contractors and fixed-term contract candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management of non-conformances and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) across all reported production lines, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Receiving Inspection, and the wider Quality team to define corrective actions, monitor progress, and drive closure.
- Provide hands-on support in investigating and resolving quality issues, implementing effective corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and administer quality management systems, ensuring accurate records, compliance, and data integrity.
- Produce clear and concise quality reports, while managing non-conforming material within the Product Review Board (PRB) process.
- Perform product inspection and measurement activities in line with engineering and quality requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in non-conformance management and RCCA, with a proven track record of delivering measurable quality improvements.
- Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and investigative skills gained within a manufacturing or shop-floor environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and pivot tables, alongside experience with quality management systems and system administration.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support investigations and root cause analysis.
- Highly detail-oriented, methodical, and results-focused, with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Proactive and adaptable approach, with a positive attitude and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
