Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes for foundry and machining operations to ensure product conformity.
• Operate, program, and calibrate CMM equipment, alongside manual metrology tools and gauges for precise inspections.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models to accurately assess component quality.
• Generate detailed dimensional inspection reports for internal teams and customers, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Conduct First Off / First Article inspections, documenting findings and supporting reports for quality verification.
• Manage non-conformance investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Approve first-off and final inspections for cast and machined components, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing scrap, rework, and process variation, enhancing overall efficiency.
• Support process capability studies, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and PFMEA activities to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Prepare and present quality reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and audit findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage with customers on technical quality matters, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Conduct supplier audits and collaborate on supplier development initiatives to ensure quality standards are met across the supply chain.
• Manage customer complaints from initial receipt through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective responses.
• Work closely with machining and quality teams to foster a zero-defects culture and continuous quality improvement.

Benefits

Cluett Reeve offers a competitive salary package ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The position provides an immediate start for suitable candidates and is a permanent, full-time role.
