Quality Engineer : Wellingborough
A GBP 40,000 : A GBP 45,000 + quarterly bonus/pension/early finish Fridays

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment and play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality.
Working closely with production, customers and suppliers, you'll be involved in NPI, problem solving, quality improvement and auditing, helping to identify issues, implement effective solutions and continually improve manufacturing performance.

- Supporting APQP, PPAP and NPI activities.
- Leading and supporting 8D and root-cause investigations.
- Monitoring quality, scrap and non-conformance and driving corrective actions.
- Supporting supplier, product and process audits.
- Developing and maintaining FMEAs and Control Plans.
- Carrying out SPC and MSA activities.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and GD and T.
- Working with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and prevent recurring problems.
About You
You'll have a background in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience of machined components, automotive or another high-volume precision engineering setting.
We're Particularly Interested In People With Experience Of
- APQP, PPAP, FMEA and SPC
- MSA and quality auditing
- 8D and structured problem solving
- Engineering drawings and GD and T
- Continuous improvement and corrective actions
An HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is desirable. Experience with Q-DAS or similar software would also be beneficial.

Working Hours and Benefits
Monday-Thursday: 08:00-17:00
Friday: 08:00-14:00
