QA Automation Lead – Business Central & Leapwork
12-Month Contract - Remote
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to establish a structured quality-assurance function within an internal technology team.
This is a hands-on, build-and-handover role. You will define practical testing processes, implement Leapwork as the automated testing platform and build regression coverage across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and internal web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and embed a practical QA process covering test planning, test-case design, environment and test-data management, defect triage and release sign-off.
- Own the end-to-end implementation of Leapwork, with the initial platform delivered within the first three months.
- Configure the platform and testing environments, establish reusable flow-design standards and introduce appropriate version-control conventions.
- Integrate automated test execution with Azure DevOps and existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain an automated regression suite covering core Business Central processes, including finance, purchase-to-pay, inventory and order-to-cash.
- Extend automated coverage across priority internal web applications.
- Establish a repeatable regression cycle for Business Central service updates and release waves, ensuring changes are validated in sandbox environments before reaching production.
- Provide hands-on functional and exploratory testing of new Business Central extensions, integrations and web releases while automated coverage is developed.
- Coach developers, analysts and business users to create, run and maintain their own Leapwork flows.
- Define and report meaningful quality metrics, including test coverage, pass rates, defect escape rates and time to feedback.
- Document processes and technical standards to support a successful handover to the internal team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
