Location: Gwynedd / North Wales (On-site)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Randstad is recruiting a Quality Advisor / Quality Engineer on behalf of a leading tier-one main contractor to support a flagship energy storage infrastructure scheme in North Wales. This is a 12-month assignment with a sharp operational focus on major project completion, quality close-out, and final handover to the end client, National Grid.
The Role
Working alongside the project, quality, and delivery teams, you will take ownership of ensuring all quality requirements, inspection records, and assurance evidence are accurate, complete, and fully accepted. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Quality Close-Out and Handover: Driving outstanding quality records, redline drawings, and ITP completions through to final closure for client acceptance.
- National Grid Compliance: Ensuring all quality assurance documentation and handover files adhere strictly to National Grid standards and technical specifications.
- Site Assurance and Records: Working directly with site teams, package owners, and subcontractors to verify that works on the ground align with quality plans and evidence requirements.
- Defect Management and Auditing: Identifying quality non-conformances, conducting audits, and working proactively with site management to close out snags and actions promptly.
- Supply Chain and Client Interface: Acting as a key point of contact for supply chain partners and client representatives to ensure an organized, evidence-led handover process.

Essential Requirements
- National Grid Experience (Essential): Direct, proven experience working on National Grid schemes and a strong understanding of their specific quality assurance and handover processes.
- Project Completion Focus: Demonstrated track record as a Quality Advisor or Quality Engineer driving major civil engineering or energy infrastructure projects through final completion phases.
- Technical Compliance: In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), ITPs, material testing, and QA/QC documentation.
- Proactive Site Approach: Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside site engineers, package managers, and clients to resolve close-out bottlenecks.
- Site Presence: Fully available for full-time, site-based working in North Wales.
