Job Purpose

As a Quality Engineering Intern at the Basildon Tractor Plant, you will play a key role in supporting product and process quality for our manufacturing operations. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to resolve daily quality issues, lead structured problem-solving activities, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the plant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, world-class manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of CNH Industrial products and the high quality standards expected by our customers.
  • Gain knowledge of the production processes and components within your assigned area.
  • Identify quality losses and lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with suppliers to address non-conformities and drive improvements.
  • Manage project activities through the Plant Operating System and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and advancement of improvement projects.

Experience Required

  • Currently studying for or recently completed a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical).
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to lead where appropriate.
  • Able to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
