We’re Hiring: Quality Manager | Automotive & Aerospace Manufacturing

We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality function and drive a culture of zero defects, right first time, every time. Located on site at our plant based in Keighley nr Bradford.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for improving quality performance across our manufacturing operations and supporting functions, while ensuring continued compliance with IATF 16949, AS9100D and ISO 9001.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you’ll take ownership of our Quality Management Systems and Quality Strategic Plan, working closely with the local management team, customers and colleagues across the business to improve performance and deliver exceptional products and service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing the Quality Strategic Plan
  • Leading the Quality team and developing a high-performing function
  • Owning and maintaining ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS9100D quality management systems
  • Leading customer, internal and third-party audits
  • Driving improvements in scrap, COPQ, customer complaints and process capability
  • Championing RCCA and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing PPAP, APQP and FAIR activities and submissions
  • Acting as the key point of contact for quality-related customer escalations
  • Supporting new product, project and technology launches with embedded quality assurance
  • Leading QMS management reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Training and mentoring employees to strengthen our quality culture
  • Reporting key quality KPIs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Leading quality-owned processes across inspection, RTF, supplier and customer quality activities

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an experienced people leader with a strong background in automotive and/or aerospace manufacturing and a passion for doing things the right way.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar manufacturing quality leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, AS9100D and ISO 9001
  • Strong understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and associated quality tools
  • Experience leading customer, internal and third-party audits
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement capability
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Epicor, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 would be advantageous.
