Quality Engineering Associate Manager

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £69,000 – £75,000 + benefits
Travel: Ad hoc travel to client sites across the UK

We’re looking for a Quality Engineering Associate Manager who remains hands-on technically while taking the next step into team leadership, tooling strategy, and client delivery.

You’ll work across client engagements, defining automation frameworks, assessing Quality Engineering maturity, and helping teams adopt modern approaches to testing. This is ideal for a senior practitioner who wants to combine hands-on engineering with leadership and strategic responsibility.

What you’ll be doing

  • Remain hands-on with automation, coding, framework development, and code reviews.
  • Define and own tooling strategies and automation frameworks across client engagements.
  • Conduct QE framework assessments and maturity evaluations, identifying improvements and creating delivery roadmaps.
  • Lead, mentor, and support QE and automation engineers, helping develop technical capability.
  • Support the delivery of wider Quality Engineering strategies alongside senior leadership.
  • Build strong client relationships and communicate technical recommendations, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Drive the adoption of GenAI within Quality Engineering, including tools such as Playwright with MCP, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.
  • Contribute to internal QE communities, standards, and best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
