HSE Advice UK is an award-winning and dynamic health and safety consultancy based in Lancaster. We specialise in providing comprehensive safety solutions to a wide range of clients and industries. We are dedicated to helping businesses achieve excellence in health and safety practices while adopting a culture of well-being and compliance.

Our clients range from local to national providers within construction, local authority, care, and manufacturing. We complete a range of services from health and safety audits to the implementation of new business management systems.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a QHSE Advisor (Business Assurance Advisor). This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about health and safety, eager to embed our values, and ready to contribute to the success of our clients and the growth of our consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client visits and inspections as per allocated client portfolio (this includes travelling across the UK and may require overnight stays).
  • Complete detailed reports following audits and inspections.
  • Complete client on-site training sessions.
  • Attend networking sessions and complete workshops / seminars to the local business community.
  • Lead on new client opportunities and portfolio expansion in line with our service offerings.
  • Assist in new service provision and create innovative solutions for our clients.
  • Assist in mentoring of trainees, administration staff, and student placements.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Work as part of a team and on own initiative when called for.
  • Multi-task effectively, whilst prioritising workloads appropriately.
  • Communicate accurately and professionally.
  • Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Display excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, and experience using auditing apps.
  • ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 experience.

Training and Qualifications Required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role is essential.
  • At least 2 years in a quality or health and safety role is essential.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor’s qualification.
  • Valid driving license and vehicle for attending client premises.
