The Quality & Food Safety Risk Assessment Specialist will be responsible for horizon scanning and emerging risk assessments, food fraud risk assessments, raw material risk assessments as well as establish and managed annual testing programs for raw materials and finished products, participating on HACCP teams and assisting with issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct raw materials risk assessments and manage the annual testing programme for raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct food fraud risk assessments via network and horizon scanning and emergent risk assessments.
- Participate in the HACCP team and support issue management through risk assessment.
- Provide testing guidelines for new product development and approve raw materials and finished product specifications.
- Create and update procedures and work instructions.
- Provide training to relevant personnel on quality standards, procedures and work instructions.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Provide risk assessment advice for concessions.
- Collaborate with laboratories management to ensure timely testing and accurate results.
- Support in conducting scientific studies and compiling scientific reports and decision-making documents e.g. for new higher risk ingredients related to innovation projects.
- Promotes a positive culture of quality control and food safety performance with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food industry, preferably in a quality assurance role.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and managing testing programmes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organised.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
