Purpose

To support the effective management of food safety, quality, and technical requirements across Fullers Foods’ retail customers and supplier partners. This role provides high-level administrative and technical support to the wider technical team, contributing to the maintenance of product compliance, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include assisting with supplier management, maintaining accurate finished product specifications, supporting KPI reporting, and responding to customer technical enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal technical team activities to deliver outstanding customer service and drive a proactive quality improvement agenda, in alignment with the Fullers Foods Quality Management System.
  • Analyse complaint data and online reviews across retail accounts, identifying trends and working with internal teams and suppliers to implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Conduct both proactive and reactive product quality inspections, assessing supplier performance and supporting issue resolution in collaboration with Technical Managers.
  • Organise and run consistency panels in line with retailer and internal schedules, including sample procurement, data collection, and portal updates, ensuring smooth execution with or without customer presence.
  • Support internal cooking validations and coordinate external testing in accordance with retailer Codes of Practice, ensuring accurate data collection for specification development.
  • Assist with new product launches by supporting specification and artwork reviews, and preparing quality attribute documents alongside Technical Managers.
  • Participate in first production runs as required, providing on-site technical support to ensure product quality and compliance at launch.
  • Contribute to the investigation of out-of-specification products, supporting communication with suppliers and reporting findings to the internal team to develop corrective actions.
  • Collate and prepare complaint and KPI data for monthly customer reports and support technical input for customer and supplier meetings.
  • Maintain retailer policy matrices, track policy updates, and ensure confirmation of acceptance from supplier partners is recorded.
  • Manage retailer portal updates, ensuring accurate and current documentation is maintained, including BRC certifications, HACCP plans, and allergen risk assessments.
  • Coordinate the preparation, labelling, and despatch of samples for laboratory testing, including nutritional analysis where required.
  • Support follow-up on Storage & Distribution non-conformances raised by Fullers S&D partners, liaising with suppliers for resolution.
  • Provide consistent, high-level support to internal technical colleagues and external customer stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as required in response to evolving business needs and priorities.
