Are you passionate about quality, patient safety and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Quality Governance Manager to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Shepton Mallet.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced governance professional, Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to play a key role in supporting and strengthening clinical and non-clinical governance across the hospital. Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and external stakeholders, you'll help drive quality improvement, support regulatory compliance and ensure patients continue to receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
As our Quality Governance Manager, you'll lead and coordinate a range of governance activities, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to support patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance and service improvement.
You'll oversee governance reporting, incident management, complaints, clinical outcomes, risk registers and patient safety initiatives, whilst supporting the organisation through inspections, accreditation processes and contractual reviews. You'll also provide leadership to the Governance Administrator and Patient Feedback Coordinator and work collaboratively across the hospital to embed a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing
As Our Quality Governance Manager, You Will Be
- Leading and developing local clinical and non-clinical governance arrangements.
- Managing governance systems including incidents, complaints, litigation, risk and quality reporting.
- Supporting the investigation and management of patient safety events and learning responses.
- Producing governance reports, dashboards and quality assurance documentation.
- Monitoring clinical outcomes and identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintaining and reporting on organisational risk registers.
- Supporting regulatory inspections, accreditation programmes and contractual reviews.
- Leading on complaints and claims management processes.
- Providing governance advice to senior leaders and operational teams.
- Supporting quality improvement and service transformation initiatives.
- Line managing the Governance Administrator and Patient Feedback Coordinator.
What we'll look for in you
As a Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional or equivalent governance experience within a healthcare setting, you will also have:
- Experience working in healthcare governance, patient safety, risk management, complaints or quality improvement
- Excellent knowledge of governance frameworks, incident reporting, audit and regulatory compliance
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong IT skills and experience using reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications
