Aston Martin Aftersales exist to sustain the intensity, beauty, and soul of the Aston Martin ownership experience throughout the lifetime of the vehicle. The Aftersales operation ensures that each moment of ownership delivers confidence, continuity, and effortless excellence, combining advanced technology with human expertise and authenticity. Within this ecosystem, the Parts Distribution Centre plays a vital role, enabling the global network to serve customers with precision, responsiveness, and absolute accuracy, preserving performance, design integrity, and the emotional connection that defines Aston Martin.

Job purpose

We are seeking a Quality Group Leader with strong leadership capability, motivation, and deep knowledge of Quality processes to join our Warehouse and Logistics department.

In this role you will need to have both hands-on and leadership skills, as you will be managing three direct team members, inspecting the Quality of parts, investigating and assuring Quality of process.

You will provide operational support by resolving Quality issues escalated from the warehouse floor and responding to queries from our Dealer Support team. Through effective leadership and your deep quality knowledge, you will contribute to the accuracy and right first time performance of warehouse operations.

This role is critical to minimizing defects, maintaining high standards and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the Inbound Inspection, Outbound Quality, Dealer Returns and Perpetual Inventory activities, including coordination of three direct report team members.
  • Receive and approve parts Quality reports from the dealer network (NWR) and take rapid corrective action to prevent further outflow, for issues such as mispicking and damaged goods.
  • Perform the Quality Inspection audit for inbound deliveries of parts to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyse trends in claims, create presentation material, and lead investigation and countermeasure activities.
  • Provide feedback, training and coaching throughout the department for Quality issues and best practices.
  • Undertake safety audits and recommend measures to enhance workplace safety.

Experience and qualifications

Essential experience

  • Practical Problem Solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why or Kepner-Tregoe
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience in a Quality assurance role within an automotive, warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • High caliber interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across the business

Preferred experience

  • Known Consignor working knowledge (commitment to train and qualify is essential)
  • Knowledge of shipping processes, packaging standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • General knowledge of automotive parts production and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience visiting suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Experience & knowledge of the aftersales environment
  • Premium/Luxury automotive experience

Additional requirements

  • Flexibility to work evening overtime if outbound collections don’t happen on time.
  • The successful candidate will need to be physically capable of carrying car parts, which are often heavy, and working standing up, with stamina to lift/move/handle products safely.
