Role Description
The Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE) Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based at the Burton upon Trent factory. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining QHSE policies and procedures in line with legal and company requirements. The coordinator will conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, monitor environmental performance, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Daily tasks include investigating incidents, supporting root-cause analysis, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and maintaining documentation and reporting for quality, safety, and environmental metrics. The role also requires collaborating with production and management teams, delivering training and guidance on QHSE best practices, and promoting a continuous improvement culture across the site.

- Ability to work with environmental compliance frameworks, including monitoring and enforcing Environmental Compliance across manufacturing activities.
- Knowledge of Environmental Policy and Environmental Issues relevant to plastics manufacturing and industrial operations.
- Understanding of Environmental Law and regulatory requirements applicable to health, safety, and environmental management.
- Experience conducting or supporting Environmental Impact Assessment and reporting to internal stakeholders and external authorities.
- Previous experience in a QHSE, HSE, or similar role within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and training skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels on QHSE topics.
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification in health, safety, environment, or quality management; professional certifications are an advantage.
