Midwife Role in Quality Improvement Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a midwife to join our Quality Improvement Team and support our Lead Practice Development Midwife (PDM). We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual with a strong interest in education within the clinical environment. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, an exceptional track record in clinical practice, experience of interprofessional working, and the ability to teach, support, and motivate others. A positive and flexible approach is essential, and you must be an effective team player.
Responsibilities
As Deputy PDM your primary role will be to support the education and development of staff within the clinical area. You will also need to be able to maintain accurate records and produce relevant reports on training activity and evaluation. In the absence of the Lead PDM, you will facilitate and lead multi-disciplinary training such as PROMPT and Mandatory Maternity Training.
The post holder will contribute to the multi-disciplinary clinical audit and governance activities. They will also assist with the review of published evidence including relevant national, regional, and local reports.

The post holder will support the department in maintaining and improving high standards of care and achieving safety throughout the maternity footprint by working with the clinical and governance teams.
To support the maternity service in fostering an environment that is woman-centered and upholds the highest standards of safety. To work closely with clinical teams to facilitate and foster the clinical governance, risk agenda, and continual quality improvement initiatives. To understand new health care developments ensuring that midwifery practice is evidence-based, cost-effective, and regularly benchmarked against best practice.
