An Exciting Opportunity in Quality Improvement

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality Improvement (QI) Team within NMAHP, supporting delivery of an ambitious and evolving workplan across NHS Highland and the Health and Social Care Partnership. The postholder will contribute to a wide range of improvement activity, including delivery of QI training, supporting frontline teams to design and implement improvement projects, and contributing to key national programmes such as the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and Excellence in Care.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a wide range of improvement activity
  • Deliver QI training
  • Support frontline teams in designing and implementing improvement projects
  • Contribute to key national programmes such as the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and Excellence in Care

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in quality improvement
  • Experience in delivering training and coaching staff in QI methodology
  • Strong ability to analyse, interpret and present data for the purposes of quality improvement and assurance, including an understanding and practical use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and run charts
  • Confidence in translating data into meaningful insights to support decision-making and drive sustainable improvement in practice
  • Relevant QI qualification and experience of working within a healthcare setting

Work Location

  • Work base at Assynt House, Inverness
  • Attendance at team meetings in Inverness every other week
  • Home working and/or flexible working from a different NHS location considered and supported where possible
  • Travel within the NHSH board area and to national meetings across Scotland
