Your New Company

A leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components to highly regulated industries is seeking a Quality Inspector to join its growing quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing environment with ongoing investment in people, technology and quality standards.

Your New Role

As Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality and customer requirements. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process.

Key duties will include:

  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Using a variety of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges.
  • Identifying and documenting non-conforming products.
  • Maintaining quality records and traceability documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
  • Operating CMM equipment and PC-DMIS software where required (training can be provided).

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Technician role.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working to tight tolerances within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
  • Competent in the use of manual inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Desirable:

  • Highly regulated manufacturing experience.
  • CMM and PC-DMIS experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T.

What's in it for You?

  • Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £18.50. Additional 20% shift allowance for shift-based roles.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Day shifts, early shifts, and late shifts available). Call to discuss.
  • Potential days-only option available.
  • Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday finish at 2:00pm (days role).
