About the role

As the site's Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for programming and operating the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to support dimensional inspection, incoming parts and First Article Inspection. Working closely with the Quality Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll help bring the CMM into service, establish robust inspection processes and ensure components meet the required engineering and quality standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Help install, commission and qualify the site's CMM, including acceptance testing, measurement system analysis, calibration and environmental controls.
  • Program and operate CMM routines from CAD models and engineering drawings, applying GD&T correctly and maintaining a controlled programme library.
  • Carry out dimensional inspection of incoming components in line with sampling plans and part criticality.
  • Produce accurate dimensional and First Article Inspection reports, recording actual measurements against required characteristics.
  • Maintain and update CMM programmes following engineering changes and ensure revised parts are correctly inspected.
  • Support measurement system analysis, capability studies and continuous improvement of inspection processes.
  • Support wider quality activities including goods receipt, in-process and final inspection, while identifying and quarantining non-conforming product and supporting investigations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
