Quality Inspector | Aerospace Manufacturing | Nottingham | £40,000 - £50,000

W Talent is working exclusively with an established aerospace manufacturing business in Nottingham to recruit a Quality Inspector to join its highly skilled engineering and manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist aerospace environment where quality, precision and attention to detail are critical, working on products manufactured to exacting customer and industry standards.

The Role - Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet the required engineering specifications, customer requirements and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You will carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections, working closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues and maintain a strong right-first-time approach. The position operates on a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern covering both days and nights.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a specialist aerospace manufacturing business offering a technically challenging environment, long-term career opportunities and the chance to work alongside experienced engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
  • Inspect components against engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Identify, record and report non-conformances, supporting corrective actions where required.
  • Use a range of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
  • Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.
  • Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement and promote a right-first-time culture.
  • Ensure all inspection activities are completed in line with company procedures and quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach.
  • Good understanding of quality processes and non-conformance management.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
