State of the art manufacturing facility based near Newark and conveniently located adjacent to A1.
Role: Quality Inspector
Business: McMullen Facades – Part of JRL Group
Location: Carlton-on-Trent (adjacent to A1 – easy access from Newark, Retford, Lincoln and surrounding areas)
Hours: Monday–Friday 8am–6pm (flexible) | Permanent, Full-Time
About Us
We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality architectural facades for major projects across the UK and Ireland. We are looking for recent graduates, college leavers, or junior candidates with an engineering or construction background to join our Quality team. Full training will be provided on our established QA procedures – your role will be to apply, explain, and embed these standards across our production floor.

What You'll Do
- Inspect incoming materials and components against drawings and specifications.
- Carry out checks at key production stages to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Record all findings clearly, including photographic evidence and inspection reports.
- Work directly with production operatives and team leaders to explain and reinforce our quality standards day-to-day.
- Flag any non-conformances and help us maintain smooth, consistent quality across all work.
What We're Looking For
- Great attention to detail and a methodical, reliable approach.
- Proactive attitude, keen to learn, and confident in engaging with people across the factory.
- Qualification in a relevant subject – e.g. Construction NVQ, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Basic IT skills and clear written/verbal communication.
- No prior inspection experience required – we will train you on our systems.
