Job Description
Join McLaren Racing’s Quality Inspection Team – 2027 F1 Car Build
We are recruiting for multiple roles within our Quality Inspection Team to support the build of McLaren Racing’s 2027 Formula One car. These positions are based at the McLaren Technology Centre and will focus on the production of high-performance metallic parts and assemblies for our F1 team.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure conforming composite, metallic or tooling parts are released from inspection to their next operation, be that manufacture operation or build task.
Principal Accountabilities
Utilise all available inspection methods and technologies within McLaren Racing’s capabilities to ensure precision and quality across three key areas:
- Final Race Car Parts: Verify all critical features prior to release for build.
- Sub-Components: Inspect all required features before progressing to the next manufacturing operation.
- Tooling Parts: Measure all necessary attributes before release to subsequent operational stages.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- A fully indentured engineering background in precision engineering or similar industry.
- Experience of composite inspection and manufacturing process is required.
- Experience working within an inspection department using modern and conventional technology to measure precision components.
- Experience using PCDIMIS, Polyworks, VX Elements, GOM Inspect, Faro/Power Inspect would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of GD&T is required.
- Exemplary attention to detail is a must.
- Fully computer literate, including use of an MRP system.
