NEW PART TIME JOB VACANCY AVAILABLE: QUALITY INSPECTOR (TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE)

Have you previously worked as a CMM Inspector, CMM Operator, Quality Inspector, Visual Inspector, Quality Controller, Final Inspector or Quality Auditor, and are you looking for a long term job?

We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join a well established manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), the working hours are up to 25 hours per week and the start and finish time can be flexible (ranging between a 2.30pm start to a 8.45pm finish).

The starting rate of pay for this role will depend on experience, for anyone who has no CMM experience the starting rate would be £13.80 per hour, but for someone with CMM experience you can expect to receive a starting pay rate of £14.54 per hour, with the top end rate of pay just over £15.00 per hour once fully trained.

The hiring manager is looking for someone with previous visual inspection / quality inspection / final inspection experience gained from within the manufacturing sector.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out end-of-line and final inspection of manufactured components, checking details against technical drawings.
  • Identify quality issues promptly and provide clear feedback to the manufacturing team.
  • Ensure every part meets required customer specifications before it is released.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection data and relevant correspondence ahead of daily management meetings.
  • Work effectively as part of a quality team of 6, contributing to a fast-paced and supportive working environment.
  • Help uphold consistent quality standards across day-to-day operations, supporting continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

  • Previous experience on a CMM - Preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, end-of-line, or final inspection position within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to raise and explain quality findings clearly.
  • A detail-focused approach, able to follow technical drawings and inspection requirements accurately.
  • Practical knowledge of quality processes, including the ability to keep organised records and maintain data quality.
  • A positive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement in a production environment.
