A leading precision engineering company in Havant is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its established team. Operating a modern facility with 22 CNC mills and lathes running on Heidenhain, Haas and Siemens controls, the business employs 18 skilled operatives and delivers high-accuracy components across demanding sectors.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality across the machining operation. The position involves routine mechanical inspection and visual inspection of components (pre- and post-treatment), ensuring compliance with customer, internal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections using mechanical tools and CMM equipment
- Prepare quality documentation including FAIRs, SCARs and NCRs
- Work within established quality procedures and support AS9100-aligned processes
- Review and verify material certifications
- Monitor, record and report non-conformances
- Participate in NQA and internal audits
- Support and guide CNC operatives to ensure quality standards are consistently upheld

Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Friday – 37 hours, early finish Friday at 12:30
- 20 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25
- Statutory pension

- Overtime available at premium rates
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive, detail-driven individual with experience in a precision engineering environment. Strong communication skills, a structured approach to quality, and confidence working with CNC-machined components are essential.
