About The Role
As a Quality Inspector in Redditch, you will join a manufacturer of precision components for aerospace, defence, and power generation sectors. This full-time position offers a salary between £36,000 and £37,500 per annum. Your duties involve operating 3D optical scanners, performing first and final inspections, and populating the inspection database with critical dimensions. You will sentence parts using Keyence, OGP, and CMM equipment, support non-conformance processes, and liaise with engineering on new product transitions. Completing FAIR packs is also required. Prior familiarity with manual and visual inspection techniques is essential for this role.
The company are a manufacturer in Alcester manufacturing high-precision fabricated and machined metal components, for the aerospace, defence, and power generation industries.

They are seeking to recruit a Quality Inspector for their operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection operations using 3D Optical scanners
- Performing 1st and final inspections using manual and visual techniques
- Population of the inspection database with all relevant dimensions
- Sentencing of all parts inspected on optical (Keyence, Scan, OGP) and CMM
- Supporting the internal non conformance process – raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured
- Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth transition of new products
- Completion of FAIR packs
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be familiar with quality control procedures and standards and have held a quality control role in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings
- CAD knowledge
- Strong communication skills and an attention to detail
- Strong team player
- An advantage would be to hold experience of the aerospace industry

The role is Lates – Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am – Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30pm

The role is based in Alcester so is commutable from Redditch, Studley, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon, Worcester
