NPI Quality Lead
Location: Bridgend, CF31
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00 – 15:00 & Friday 9:00 – 12:00
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced NPI Quality Lead to join a specialist manufacturing business operating within a highly regulated, high-integrity environment.
This is a senior, hands-on quality role with responsibility for owning quality delivery throughout the New Production Introduction lifecycle, from initial feasibility through to production readiness.
You will have the opportunity to build and own the NPI quality framework, developing the control plans, procedures, quality gates and processes required for each programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead NPI quality delivery from feasibility through to production readiness
- Drive APQP deliverables and NPI stage gates
- Develop and maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, FME procedures and inspection regimes
- Lead non-conformance investigations, containment and corrective actions
- Ensure traceability, lifetime records and material certification requirements are met
- Undertake QMS gap analysis and implement required procedures
- Support accreditation, safety and regulatory compliance

About you:
- APQP and NPI quality delivery
- FMEA, MSA, SPC and capability studies
- Quality procedures development and implementation
- Non-conformance and correction action
- Auditing and supplier quality
- Special processes such as welding, NDE or coatings
- Working within regulated, high-integrity manufacturing environments
Experience in nuclear, defence, aerospace, pressure equipment or similar sectors is essential.
Ideally looking for 8 years + quality engineering experience, alongside an engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Six Sigma qualifications would be advantageous.
