Our client is seeking a Quality Lead for a contract position in Aberdeen for up to 12 months.
The successful candidate will have proven expertise in Quality Management, with previous experience managing supplier deliveries and client submissions. Candidates should also have knowledge of heavy fabrication projects, with strong experience in this area being highly desirable.
ROLE
The Quality Lead will take full quality ownership of Project BPP-24001, acting as the primary quality contact and focal point throughout the project lifecycle. The role is responsible for maintaining the Project Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, quality records, supplier documentation, NCRs, CARs, audits, risk registers, quality reports, MRBs and final quality dossiers. The postholder will support manufacturing, inspection, testing, supplier quality, customer interface, compliance, continuous improvement and project handover activities. They will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, site teams, third-party inspectors and the QHSE Manager to ensure all contractual, customer, ISO 9001 and company quality requirements are met.

Responsibilities
- Project Quality Ownership
- Take full quality ownership of Project BPP-24001.
- Act as the primary quality contact for all project-related matters.
- Represent Quality in project meetings, reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Maintain project quality plans and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Escalate quality risks, concerns, and deviations to management.

Requirements
Essential
- HNC or above in a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial equivalent experience.
- ISO 9001 internal auditor or recognised quality qualification.
- At least five years' quality experience in heavy engineering, offshore, marine or safety-critical equipment manufacture. Familiarity with welded fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly.
- Competence in reviewing ITPs, material certificates, inspection records, NCRs, test documentation and manufacturing record books.
- Experience coordinating supplier surveillance, FATs, load tests, pressure tests and hold/witness points.

Desirable Qualifications And Experience
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or equivalent.
- CSWIP Quality Control Coordinator
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience with linear winches, lifting equipment or subsea equipment.
- Previous experience working with BP or another operator or major EPC contractor.
