Play a pivotal role in assuring quality on some of the UK's most complex and nationally significant nuclear projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Management Lead - Electrical to oversee quality compliance throughout the entire project lifecycle, from contract award and design through to manufacture, installation, commissioning, and project close-out. Working within a highly regulated environment, you will ensure supply chain adherence to quality requirements while driving quality excellence across major infrastructure programmes. You'll join a collaborative Quality Management team where your expertise will directly influence project delivery, stakeholder confidence, and long-term operational success.

Updated Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Ensure supply chain compliance with contractual quality requirements and specifications.
  • Review, approve, and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans across the supply chain.
  • Produce and maintain Project Quality Control Plans for assigned contracts.
  • Drive quality improvements and support the resolution of quality-related issues.
  • Coordinate supply chain audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Implement key contractual quality requirements, including lifetime quality records, inspection and testing arrangements.
  • Lead Lifetime Quality Records reviews and quality release activities for equipment and manufactured components.
  • Oversee manufacturing surveillance and inspection activities using a risk-based approach.
  • Coordinate the review, acceptance, and management of manufacturing, construction, and project quality documentation.
  • Build effective relationships with programme teams, suppliers, inspection agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support Quality Delivery Managers and Quality Management Team Leads in delivering programme quality objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant Engineering, Science, or related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience within Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control in the nuclear sector or another safety-critical industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a quality management, quality assurance, or quality control environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering quality improvements and achieving measurable business results.
  • Broad experience implementing a range of quality assurance and quality control solutions.
  • Experience developing and implementing Project Quality Control Plans.
  • Strong understanding of supplier quality management, audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.
  • Experience reviewing technical, manufacturing, and lifetime quality records documentation.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and resolve issues with a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Experience working effectively within complex, large-scale, and multi-cultural project environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
