Quality Manager
£45,000 - £60,000 p/a
Location: Southend-On-Sea, Essex
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37 hrs/wk (Mon-Thu, Fridays off!)
Salary: Up to £60,000 p.a.
An established aerospace precision engineering manufacturer seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality & Inspection department with full operational autonomy and leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the AS9100 QMS
- Lead and mentor the Inspection team
- Create/approve FAIR/LAIR documentation using VisualFAIR
- Conduct internal/external AS9100 audits
- Act as Approved Signatory for product release
- Oversee calibration and qualification processes
- Drive zero-defect/continuous improvement initiatives and serve as primary contact for customer quality matters.

Requirements
- Proven aerospace sector experience (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9100
- Hands-on FAIR/LAIR experience
- Proven leadership/supervisory background in inspection/quality
- Qualified auditor
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
