Automotive Trim Developments Ltd is looking for an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join our Coventry site.

This is a key site-based position responsible for ensuring that the expected quality standards of the business are consistently maintained. The successful candidate will take ownership of site quality activities, working closely with production, engineering, suppliers, customers and external assessment bodies to support quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

The role would suit someone with strong experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive, who is comfortable taking ownership of quality matters and working across different areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing all site-related quality activities.
  • Acting as the site's Management Representative for quality matters.
  • Managing and supporting the internal audit programme.
  • Overseeing in-house Quality Control activities.
  • Supporting and maintaining effective Quality Planning processes.
  • Applying appropriate quality tools and techniques to maintain and improve product and process quality.
  • Managing Supplier Quality Assurance activities.
  • Overseeing measuring equipment calibration and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Liaising directly with customers and external assessment bodies regarding quality and compliance matters.
  • Supporting the site-level application of Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and policies in line with ATD's Environmental Policy.
  • Working collaboratively with relevant departments to identify quality concerns, implement corrective actions and maintain required standards.
  • Exercising the authority to stop production where product quality is at risk.

About You

We are looking for someone who can bring a practical, hands-on approach to quality management within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous Quality Management or senior Quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience or experience within a similarly quality-driven industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, internal auditing and quality assurance processes.
  • Practical experience with quality planning, quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience of supplier quality and dealing with quality concerns.
  • Knowledge of calibration and MSA requirements.
  • Confidence communicating directly with customers, suppliers and external auditors/assessment bodies.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and drive them through to resolution.
  • The confidence and professional judgement to make decisions where product quality or compliance may be compromised.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Management and other operational teams.
