In a project, the Quality Manager is responsible for defining the project's quality strategy and developing and implementing the project's risk-based quality plan. The Quality Manager will lead and support the Quality Engineers, Quality Site Managers and Quality Inspectors assigned to the project and foster quality awareness across the project team, and hold the overall responsibility for project quality performance. Within the line organisation, the Quality Manager will strive for continuous improvement and close alignment between the various projects, promoting a risk-based quality assurance and control strategy and close supplier performance monitoring.
About the role
Define and implement the project quality strategy based on applicable quality standards and a risk-based approach, including quality planning, assurance and control concepts in line with the Company’s Quality Management Framework.
Set project quality objectives and relevant standards, and plan and monitor quality resources and budgets to ensure their optimal allocation.
Develop audit and inspection guidelines and methods, conduct overall quality monitoring and supplier audits, and evaluate non-conformities, including root cause analyses and corrective actions.
Lead, manage and support the project quality team and coordinate and collaborate with all relevant project stakeholders.
Manage and oversee the quality of work delivered by suppliers and contractors, including supplier qualification and assessments, and drive continuous improvement of supplier quality.
Prepare quality-related tender documents, including quality assurance agreements, evaluate supplier offers and support contract negotiations.

Further develop and improve the Company’s quality framework, including relevant procedures, standards and best practices, and analyse lessons learned and their impact on the quality team’s ways of working.
Manage relevant stakeholders and internal customer expectations, drive continuous improvement and the implementation of digital quality management tools, and initiate measures to enhance the Company’s quality and overall project performance.
Job requirements and experience
Successfully completed university degree in engineering, such as mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or in a comparable field.
Additional qualification as a quality auditor and quality manager, or a comparable qualification.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in quality assurance, quality control and quality management, including practical experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of offshore wind farm components and their manufacturing and inspection requirements.
Solid knowledge of relevant international project and quality management standards as well as technical regulations and standards, such as IEC 61400, BSH, DNV and EN 1090.
Ability to build, manage and motivate professional quality teams and work effectively across countries and cultures, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion and strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills across different hierarchical levels.
Very good knowledge of common IT tools and systems, combined with the motivation and ability to independently and sustainably drive topics forward while maintaining an overview in a dynamic project environment.
