Quality Manager | Aerospace | 4-Day Week | Rochford
About the job
We are recruiting a Quality Manager for a well-established aerospace manufacturer in Rochford. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the Quality Management System, lead the inspection team and help drive quality and continuous improvement across the business.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and AS9100 requirements while supporting operational excellence.
Your role
You will oversee the Quality Management System and inspection function, ensuring products meet the highest aerospace quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Leading and developing the Inspection Team
- Creating and approving FAIR and LAIR documentation
- Managing calibration, testing and inspection activities
- Conducting internal and external AS9100 / ISO9100 audits
- Acting as the company's Management Representative for quality matters
- Ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry requirements
- Driving continuous improvement and supporting production teams
What you will bring
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9100 and EASA requirements
- Experience creating and approving FAIR documentation
- Internal and external auditing experience
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

What's on offer
- £50,000-£55,000, depending on experience
- Permanent position with a 4-day working week (Monday-Thursday)
- Working hours: 06:45-16:30 (37 hours)
- Christmas shutdown
