Quality Manager – Resilience Team

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Quality Manager to join our Resilience team based in Aberdeen.

About the Role

Our Resilience team, based in Aberdeen, supports the Oil and Gas market by helping customers extend asset life, decarbonise, and ensure a resilient energy supply for the UK. We operate across the project lifecycle, from Feasibility Studies, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), through to Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction support for clients such as INEOS FPS, Dana, and EnQuest. As a rapidly growing unit, we anticipate doubling in size by 2026 and growing again by 2027.

The Quality Manager will establish, develop, and own Costain’s Quality Control and Assurance capabilities for the Resilience business unit, based out of the Aberdeen office.

Working across both onshore and offshore assets, your responsibilities will involve:

  • Leading the implementation and management of project quality control and assurance plans
  • Overseeing inspection regimes and vendor checks, ensuring compliance throughout the full project lifecycle (from Feasibility to Procurement and Construction)
  • This role requires a minimum of 3 days/week in the Aberdeen office

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust Quality Control and Assurance processes for projects.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigations related to quality assurance.
  • Monitor, review, and report on project performance against quality benchmarks.
  • Engage with vendors, subcontractors, and on-site teams to deliver quality standards.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other specialists to uphold project integrity.
  • Represent Costain in client meetings, audits, and quality reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
