Company

Vickerstock are working exclusively with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Quality Manager for their Mid Tyrone operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager or an ambitious Lead Quality Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career - You do not necessarily need to already hold the title of Quality Manager. We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Lead or Senior Quality Engineers who are already overseeing or providing direction to other quality personnel, have responsibility for managing a Quality Management System (QMS), and are ready to take on broader responsibility for a quality function.

The Role of Quality Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of quality across the manufacturing operation, while leading a team across Quality Engineering, Quality Co-ordination and Quality Technicians (currently a smaller quality team of 6-7 but this is expected to grow over the coming 2 years). The role has a broad remit covering the QMS, supplier quality, incoming materials, manufacturing quality, machine testing, outbound quality and customer feedback, with a strong focus on developing a proactive quality culture focused on prevention rather than detection.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
