Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking for the opportunity to take ownership of quality within a growing manufacturing business?
We're working with an established specialist manufacturer on the outskirts of Braintree, who are looking for a Quality Manager to manage their QMS, compliance and continuous improvement activities.
This is a hands-on role working closely with Operations, Engineering, suppliers, customers and senior management to maintain high standards and drive improvements across the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and continually improve the company's Quality Management System
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PED, F-Gas and relevant legislation
- Plan and conduct internal audits and manage corrective actions
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and customer complaints
- Use techniques including 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA and Fishbone analysis
- Monitor and report quality KPIs
- Work with customers and suppliers to maintain quality standards
- Support PQQs, tenders and certification requirements
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations to drive continuous improvement
- Provide quality guidance and training across the business

About You
We're looking for an experienced Quality Manager with:
- Extensive experience in a Quality Manager position
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and QMS
- Experience with audits, non-conformances, corrective actions and complaints
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools such as 8D, FMEA and 5 Whys
- Experience working with suppliers and customers
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Experience with an ERP or quality system such as SAGE, SAP, NetSuite or similar

Experience within a safety-critical or regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
NEBOSH qualifications and a relevant degree are desirable but not essential.
