Are you passionate about driving quality excellence and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment?

Our client, an innovative and forward-thinking organisation with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional solutions and embracing new ideas, technologies, and ways of working, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the quality function within a well-established and respected organisation. As Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards, enhancing processes, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will have the opportunity to influence strategic quality initiatives, champion best practices, and ensure products and processes consistently meet customer and industry expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and coach a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians.
  • Develop and maintain internal standards and procedures to ensure compliance and quality outputs.

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the investigation of quality concerns, ensuring timely root cause analysis and effective countermeasures.
  • Implement a 'no fault forward' culture throughout the organisation's supply chain.

Internal Systems Management

  • Maintain and develop the BS EN ISO9001 manual and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop efficient measuring systems and manage calibration processes.

Supplier Quality Assurance

  • Establish a structured supplier quality assurance programme, ensuring materials meet both internal and customer quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to implement effective root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

Customer Collaboration

  • Ensure the delivery of quality parts to specifications and prevent non-conforming items from reaching build lines.
  • Work closely with internal teams to establish joint product standards and preventative solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Quality Management qualification or equivalent in a technical discipline (level 4 or above).
  • Proven leadership experience in a quality function, preferably within Automotive, Aerospace, or Engineering sectors.
  • Proficiency in Kaizen, LEAN, and Six Sigma problem resolution techniques.
  • Strong understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA development techniques.
  • Knowledge of MRP/Manufacturing Systems is advantageous.

  • Excellent man-management skills, demonstrating the ability to coach and inspire team members.
  • Self-motivated, task-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure while maintaining a structured approach.

Working Hours & Salary

  • Full-time role, 40 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 16:30; Friday, 07:30 - 13:30).
  • £65,000 - £70,000
