Quality Manager

Wolverhampton

Permanent

Up to £65,000 DOE

EMBS Engineering, on behalf of one of our key clients, are recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join a highly regulated manufacturing environment operating to nuclear industry standards. This is a key leadership role, supporting the setup of a new manufacturing facility and shaping the Quality Management System that underpins it.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will lead the quality function across both project and operational activities, with particular focus on dimensional control, non-destructive testing (NDT), and quality engineering. You will play a central role in the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose Quality Management System (QMS) as part of a new facility build, while also driving day-to-day quality performance across the site.

What's in it for you?

  • Salary up to £65,000
  • Strong order book of new and exciting projects
  • Genuine development opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the site's QA/QC strategy, working closely with the Head of Quality to align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead operational quality functions including dimensional inspection, NDT oversight and weld quality assurance, promoting a right-first-time culture.
  • Manage the compilation and approval of project quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and Lifetime Records.
  • Support the design and implementation of the new manufacturing facility from a quality and compliance perspective, embedding inspection and traceability checkpoints into facility layout.
  • Lead the development and rollout of a QMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and relevant nuclear industry requirements.
  • Conduct and lead root cause investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked.
  • Represent the business during client and regulatory audits, maintaining audit readiness through robust quality controls and traceability systems.
  • Coach and mentor quality behaviours across the organisation, with a strong focus on shop floor and operations teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
