Role Overview

The post holder will manage and oversee the UHBW Adult BMT & IEC and Paediatric Haematology, Oncology & BMT Quality Management Programme, ensuring that the programme meets regulatory and accreditation requirements while supporting continual service development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Quality Management Programme for Adult BMT & IEC and Paediatric Haematology/Oncology services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (including JACIE and HTA).
  • Oversee governance, risk, and audit processes, including inspections, internal audits, incident management, CAPA plans, risk registers, validation studies, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clinical and management teams on quality management, information governance, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and best practice.
  • Manage quality documentation and data, including policies, SOPs, clinical guidelines, training records, regulatory submissions, governance reports, and cell storage databases.
  • Drive service development and continuous improvement through audit outcomes, risk assessment, trend analysis, process redesign, and change management to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory, accreditation, and professional bodies to support programme delivery and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and line management for staff, including recruitment, appraisal, performance management, training, and professional development.
  • Contribute to patient safety and experience by ensuring robust quality systems, effective governance, confidentiality, and learning from incidents, complaints, and adverse events.
