As part of our Rail Infrastructure business, you’ll join a team that is transforming how people and goods move, making rail travel safer, smarter, greener, and more efficient.
We are looking for a Quality Manager in Projects to join our Rail Infrastructure business in the Quality department to act as an expert in support of the Project Delivery team, driving customer value, quality improvement, project excellence and innovation. Based in Chippenham, Coventry or York, the role will be a catalyst for continuous improvement in all PM@Siemens project phases, communicating lessons learned from other projects including adoption of AI, digital tools and quality methodologies to improve value and performance.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Define and implement the QM system within the portfolio and support project management in planning and securing milestone results, reduce Non-Conformance Costs (NCCs)
- Design, implement and monitor quality plans and define appropriate quality targets and performance indicators based on project critical factors.
- Manage quality incidents (QCCs) and root-cause-analysis raised within the project including KPIs and Cost of Poor Quality. Communicate quality objectives and escalate project-risk situations as appropriate.
- Monitor and communicate at Executive level the outcomes of supplier quality status, risks, incidents, and KPIs. Advise senior leadership on effective action plans.
- Support the planning, initiation and coordination of continuous improvement actions for all project phases. Ensure good practice sharing and feedback of experience e.g. through workshops (e.g. lessons learned) and project assessments.
- Plan and ensure the required quality level of the project-specific supply chain (internal & external) with the focus on specifications and interface definitions. This includes the support of the SQM and Procurement in the application of supplier-related procedures, such as selection, qualification, development, integration, supervision and auditing

What you’ll need to succeed
- Engineering Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Engineering / Manufacturing etc).
- Lead Auditor qualification e.g. ISO9001 (preferred).
- Experience in a Quality Manager role within project and/or manufacturing in a relevant industry
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/45001/14001/27001 and practical application within a large organisation Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred) or significant experience delivering Lean/CI outcomes.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, data analysis, AI tools and digital workflow tools.
- CQI Membership or Accreditation (desirable)
