We are seeking a Quality Monitoring Officer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality, safe and compliant services.

The Quality Monitoring Officer will support the monitoring, review and continuous improvement of quality standards across the organisation. Working closely with operational teams and management, you will help ensure services meet internal standards, regulatory requirements and best practice, while identifying opportunities to improve the experience and outcomes of the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular quality monitoring reviews and audits across Trusts.
  • Monitor compliance with organisational policies, procedures and RQIA regulatory requirements.
  • Review service documentation, records and quality evidence to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
  • Identify areas of good practice, risk, non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce clear and accurate quality monitoring reports, highlighting findings and recommended actions.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and operational teams to develop and monitor improvement action plans.
  • Track agreed actions through to completion and escalate concerns where appropriate.
  • Analyse quality information to identify themes, trends and recurring areas of concern.
  • Support the monitoring of incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and other quality indicators.
  • Contribute to the development and review of quality assurance processes, policies and procedures.
  • Support services in preparing for internal and external inspections and audits.
  • Promote a positive culture of quality, learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned across services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential quality records and reports.

Essential Criteria:

  • One year's experience within healthcare
  • Six months experience in compliance or a similar regulated environment.
  • Experience of completing audits, quality reviews or compliance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement principles.
  • An understanding of regulatory and governance requirements within healthcare
  • Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
