This position is at our Medical Engineering Technologies (MET Ltd) site based in Dover.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Officer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will support testing activities with sample handling and data reviews. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of medical device testing and product innovation within a dynamic environment.

Ideally, you will:
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Be proficient in self-organisation of own work, multi-tasking, prioritisation, and maintaining high standards of documentation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Be approachable, supportive, communicative (verbal and written), respectful, and helpful to colleagues and clients.
- Pay attention to detail when reviewing data.

Key Duties
As a Quality Officer in the Quality Assurance team, your main duties include:
- Complying with all environmental and Health and Safety requirements, report accidents and near misses promptly, and pro-actively make suggestions for improvements.
- Management and issue of testing log books and testing log book templates.
- Working closely and communicate effectively with Managers and Scientists pertaining to samples and stability activities.
- Promptly raising issues with fridges/chambers with Lab and Facilities/Technical Manager.
- Arranging shipment of samples for sub-contracted activities or return to client efficiently, ensuring that import and destruction paperwork is recorded and maintained.
- Arranging and keep records of shipments that require a courier service.
- Ensuring all non-sample deliveries are processed by self or others, ensuring relevant records are completed.
- Working with colleagues and coordinate all shipments out of MET, raising appropriate paperwork.
- Supporting purchasing, shipments, and receipt of items for wider business operations, e.g. equipment for off-site Calibrations, Office Supplies.
- As Internal Auditor, perform allocated Internal Audits and timely write up of audit reports.
- Raising non-conformances on process deviations/errors to prompt review, immediate action, and identification of actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Utilising Continuous Improvement tools (e.g. 6 Sigma DMAIC) to lead or participate in projects which bring about value-added improvements to the business.
- Effectively track and complete CAPAs assigned to self to ensure on time completion.
