Office based in Bridgwater (Hinkley Point C Project)

Summary
NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project.
As part of recent growth on this project, we are actively recruiting for several Records Technicians to capture, compile and submit discipline-type Life Time Quality Records (LTQR) deliverables for the assigned Area, in line with the scope of works, as per Area Co-ordinators & Leads guidance & instructions.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Ensure site based LTQR management activities are carried out in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
- Compile, review and submit scope LTQR deliverables, ensure for compliance to requirements.
- Manage distribution of both electronic and hard copy documents in end to end configuration control.
- Prepare data reports when required on document status for LTQR Manager.
- Assist with production of LTQR handover packs.
- Assist Area LTQR Co-ordinators to ensure appropriate LTQR’s are submitted for work packages as required by contract.
- Review LTQR’s for accuracy and adequacy of content to allow the compilation of lifetime records to support End of Erection Status Reports.

What we’re looking for:
- Excellent IT skills and experience using document management systems, preferably with experience handling LTQRs, EESRs or other specific construction/engineering reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in particular for handling and creating technical documentation.
- Experience working in a quality assurance/control environment within the nuclear industry or other relevant safety critical industry would be advantageous.
Please note this role does not offer any travel or subsistence allowances and so applicants must be based in the local area to be considered.

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project:
We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
