About the Role
We have a great opportunity to join us as our Sampling Quality Coordinator based at Horsley, Northumberland or Hanningfield, Essex. You will be responsible for maintaining the UKAS quality systems across our Water Operations Regulatory Sampling teams.
The successful candidate will maintain all aspects of the Water Sampling team UKAS 17025 accredited procedures.
- Work in partnership with the Operational Sampling Supervisors
- Coordinate the quality/H&S processes and sampling software packages for water sampling operations
- Ensure both regulatory and operational sampling programmes are collected in accordance with HSE/DWI/UKAS requirements
You will manage and maintain sampling devices and software packages for Remote Sampler and AQC Tools.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders/suppliers including the Accreditation, Laboratory, and Water Quality teams

Based at either location, there will be a requirement to travel to Horsley or Hanningfield on a regular basis, usually 2-3 days per month.
About You
To be successful in this role, we're looking for you to have a science-based background and experience in working in a regulatory environment with demonstrable experience of working to UKAS accredited procedures and performing root cause analysis.

You will be flexible and willing to support other members of the sampling team with a customer-focused approach.
Ideally, you will have experience of working with laboratory or sampling software packages such as AQCTOOLS, Coruson, Remote Sampler, LIMS.

Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.
This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
