About The Role

The Quality Specialist role is a critical position within our client’s organization, based in Rugby. The company designs, manufactures, and services highly engineered electrical machines and systems that support vital sectors such as energy, marine, defense, and industrial applications worldwide. This role is responsible for leading production quality initiatives, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and customer expectations. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a relevant technical qualification or degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Extensive experience in manufacturing quality assurance, preferably within electrical or industrial systems, is essential. Candidates must have a solid understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent, and experience with quality tools like Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and FMEA. Active Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role, and candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within secure environments. Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also vital for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Leading daily production quality activities
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality metrics
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
  • Conducting audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards
  • Developing and maintaining quality documentation
  • Training staff on quality procedures
  • Supporting new product introductions from a quality perspective
  • Serving as the point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries
  • Supporting the resolution of quality concerns promptly and effectively
