Quality Systems & Compliance Coordinator

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems & Compliance Coordinator to join our technical team. Reporting directly to the Technical Systems & Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of our food safety and quality management systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a food industry professional with experience in food safety, quality systems, and data analysis who is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

  • Support the maintenance and development of the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, certification, and company requirements.
  • Monitor, analyse, and communicate key technical and operational KPIs.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain supplier approval and supplier monitoring programmes.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Review trends, complaints, non-conformances, and technical data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in document control and ensure procedures, specifications, and records remain up to date.
  • Support site food safety culture initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure compliance objectives are achieved.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Technical Systems & Compliance Manager.
  • Participate in investigations relating to quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a food safety, quality assurance, or technical role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety and quality management systems.
  • Experience working with technical systems and compliance processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, trend, and communicate data effectively.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar data analysis and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Desirable

  • Experience within infant nutrition, cereals, snacks, or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standard and retailer standards.
  • HACCP qualification.
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Experience managing supplier approval programmes.
