About The Role

We are currently hiring for a Quality Systems Technician at our Kinisla manufacturing site in Ossett, where we produce Butters, Spreads and Margarines (BSM) for our Dairy Consumer Foods division. This role is essential to maintain quality system compliance, audit readiness, business continuity and effective support of site quality and regulatory requirements.

What will I be doing?

  • Maintain and support the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, retailer, regulatory, and company requirements
  • Manage quality systems activities including customer complaints, supplier non-conformances, specification management, and document control
  • Produce quality reports and coordinate pest control and customer compliance activities
  • Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Provide administration and support for key business systems, including Intelex, SAP, and Optiva
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to uphold quality standards
  • Support audits, product launches, technical projects, and quality improvement programmes
  • Ensure quality documentation, records, and system data are accurate and up to date

What do I need to be successful?

These include:

  • Experience working within a food manufacturing, technical, or quality environment
  • Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), food safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing customer complaints, supplier non-conformances, and corrective action processes
  • Knowledge of specification management, document control, and audit support activities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and produce KPI reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using quality management systems and business software such as SAP, Intelex, or similar platforms
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
