Quality Systems Technologist
Location: Attleborough
Join Pilgrim’s Europe and play a key role in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance across our operations.
We are looking for a Quality Systems Technologist to support and continuously improve our Quality Management Systems, supplier compliance programmes, technical systems, and customer requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive technical professional who enjoys working cross-functionally and driving high standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Systems Technologist, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving technical systems and processes that support food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity across the site.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the management and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensuring compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, customer standards, and relevant legislation
- Maintaining controlled documentation, procedures, specifications, and records
- Supporting internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits
- Managing supplier approval documentation and raw material specifications
- Maintaining technical systems including Foods Connected, Authenticate, and Recipe Professor
- Coordinating supplier compliance and risk assessment activities, including VACCP programmes
- Supporting customer technical requests, portals, and specification management
- Investigating technical issues and supporting corrective and preventative actions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across technical systems and processes

Essential
- Experience in a Quality, Technical, QA, or Systems role within food manufacturing
- Understanding of food safety principles and quality management systems
- Knowledge of HACCP, supplier approval processes, specifications, and food manufacturing standards
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience managing documentation and data accurately
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
- Knowledge of BRCGS requirements
- Internal Auditor qualification
- HACCP Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience using Foods Connected, Authenticate, Recipe Professor, or similar systems
- Experience managing customer technical portals and retailer specifications
