Quality & Technical Manager

Lead quality excellence at Bodycote’s Coventry site. Use your expertise in heat treatment, metallurgy, and quality systems to drive continuous improvement, compliance, and a zero-defect culture.

About Bodycote

At Bodycote, we’re more than the world’s leading provider of heat treatment and specialist thermal processing services. We’re a people business at heart. Our commitment to innovation and sustainability shapes everything we do. With a global footprint and a culture built on collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact.

Sustainability is central to our future. We’re on an ambitious journey to reduce our environmental impact through advanced technologies, smarter processes, and ongoing innovation, with our teams around the world playing a key role in making that happen.

The Role

As the Quality & Technical Manager, you will be the site quality and technical lead for our Coventry facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and product safety across our operations.

  • You will lead the development and maintenance of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and Bodycote requirements.
  • You will drive a zero-defect culture through effective quality management, risk reduction, customer complaint resolution, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with operational teams, customers, and suppliers, you will provide technical expertise across heat treatment, metallurgy, and specialist processes. You will support inspection and laboratory activities, quality assurance processes, external audits, technical reviews, and the ongoing development of site standards and capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
