Quality Technician
We’re supporting a well-established global FMCG manufacturer looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join its Quality team.
The business is open to both permanent candidates and experienced professionals available for a short-term contract, depending on what best suits the individual.
This is a hands-on role combining quality systems, investigation, data analysis and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Analysing quality, defect and non-conformance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Producing dashboards, KPI reports and clear management information
- Investigating defects, complaints and non-conforming materials
- Supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintaining and improving quality systems and records
- Supporting supplier quality and performance improvement
- Monitoring product, packaging and material compliance
- Supporting calibration and product assessment activities
- Driving defect reduction, waste reduction and right-first-time performance
- Supporting product and process changes

What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally have experience within Quality, Technical or Manufacturing, with FMCG, food, packaging or high-volume manufacturing experience particularly relevant.
Strong analytical skills are important, alongside confident use of Excel, including:
- Pivot tables and lookups
- Power Query
- Dashboards
- KPI and trend reporting
- Data manipulation and analysis
You should be comfortable working with quality and non-conformance data, identifying root causes and translating information into clear actions and management insight. Experience with Power BI would be advantageous, particularly dashboards, data modelling and DAX. Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001 or ISO 22000 would also be beneficial.
