Are you an experienced Quality Technician or Laboratory Technician looking to join a global manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation? We are currently supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in their search for a Quality Laboratory Technician to join their quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in laboratory testing, dimensional inspection, and quality control who is looking to develop their career within a technically advanced manufacturing environment.
As a Quality Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in protecting customers from non-conforming products by ensuring materials and products meet all required quality standards. Working closely with Quality, Production, Labelling and Packing teams, you will carry out testing, inspections and analysis activities to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and mechanical testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet specification requirements.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test data and sample traceability documentation.
- Manage laboratory stock levels, reagents and consumables whilst carrying out material transactions within SAP.
- Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
- Analyse test results, identify trends and support process improvement activities.
- Assist with investigations into product quality issues and support root cause analysis activities.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ISO audits and ensure laboratory activities comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S throughout laboratory and office areas.
- Escalate any issues that may impact laboratory operations to the Quality Manager.

Experience Required
- Experience working within a high precision industry such as aerospace, space, automotive & defence
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience carrying out dimensional inspections and quality checks.
- Knowledge of calibration processes and equipment verification.
- Strong attention to detail with experience maintaining quality records and documentation.
- Good data analysis skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating or programming CMM equipment (desirable)
