We are seeking a Quality Technician to strengthen our Bolton production plant.

About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments and wants to contribute to meaningful, globally relevant projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyse Returns: Perform analysis of products returned from customers/field, identify defect and cause.
  • Function Test and Measurement: Perform function test and measurement on new/re-designed and existing products as required.
  • Product Reliability: Test product reliability, according to customer needs and timescales.
  • Reporting: Produce clear and accurate reports for testing/investigation/measurement and analysis results and conclusions with the use of analytical methods if required.
  • Equipment Inspection/Repair: Inspect equipment regularly and perform basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Maintain basic procedures and SOP’s for test equipment. Support Customer and Supplier PPAP submissions.
  • Supporting Production: Support production department on ad hoc duties as and when required. For example, if there is a requirement for containment activities.

Profile and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T along with CMM programming skill, operation of test stands, and functional knowledge of automotive parts.
  • Report writing skills, communication skills, fault finding skills i.e. the ability to identify the basic causes of faults.
  • ONC level or further education in the Engineering field.
  • PC literate. (Word/Excel)
  • At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment programming and using CMM’s

Salary

£35-38,000 gross annually
